Because the system is brand new, there's no "before and after" — the score measures how closely the finished install hits the manufacturer's design targets for your equipment.
How hard the system has to push
How much resistance the ducts put up against moving that air (static pressure).
How much cooling fluid is in the system
The amount, pressures, and temperatures of the fluid that actually does the cooling (refrigerant charge).
The electrical readings
That the system is drawing power the way it should and running within safe limits.
Independent certification
When it verifies high, it earns an ANSI/ACCA Standard 5 certificate.
Standard 5 is the national, industry-agreed definition of what a correct install actually looks like. When your system verifies at a high measured score, it earns a certificate against that standard — independent verification, not a document we write for ourselves.
There are two levels:
- Verified Equipment Operation (VEO) — the equipment is confirmed running right on your existing ducts.
- Verified System Performance (VSP) — the full certification, covering the equipment, the ducts, and the house together.
The certificate is yours to keep. It backs up your warranty and is accepted by utility and rebate programs, so the proof works for you long after we've driven off.

Plenty of installs are just a copy of whatever was there before. We do it differently: we measure your home first — the square footage, the layout, the insulation, the windows, and how much sun the house takes through the day — and then choose equipment to match what we actually find.
That step matters because getting the size wrong costs you comfort either way. A system that's too big blasts cold, snaps off, and starts again before it ever pulls the humidity out — so the house cools unevenly and the air feels clammy even when the thermostat says it hit the number. A system that's too small simply never catches up on the hottest afternoons and runs itself ragged trying.

How long does a replacement take?
A straightforward changeout is often finished in a day. We'll confirm the timing once we've seen your home and the job in front of us, rather than quote you a number we can't stand behind.
What will a new system cost?
We give you a firm price after we measure your home, not a guess over the phone. The written quote lays out the equipment and the work, and it's yours to keep and compare — there's no pressure to decide on the spot.
